London Shopping
Visitors to London that plan to go to Stamford Bridge for a football game probably don't realize that the Stamford Bridge area actually offers much more than just football. Stamford Bridge is a good place to go for all your shopping needs. So if you'll be in the area for a football game or you're traveling with someone who would prefer to be cheering on a sports team while you're shopping, there are many stores and shops that will meet your needs.
The Union Market is a great place to go for any food items. You can get groceries here, baked goods, wine, and anything found at a traditional farmer's market. If you want to grab some food while you're shopping, the market also has a sit down restaurant for a longer meal and a deli if you want to grab something and go.
Another market to look into is the North End Road Market, which has been around since the 1880's. The majority of offerings here are food products, including fresh fruits, produce, and meat, but you'll also be able to find fun trinkets and everyday items at decent prices.
For typical shopping, the King's Road offers fashion and clothing stores, including designer and boutique places. You can also find a large variety of fashion accessories, from handbags to belts to scarves, at many of the stores here. In addition to the big name stores, the King's Road has a collection of smaller, independent shops. For a bite to eat, there are a number of excellent cafes and eateries, including Love Bakery, where you can get gourmet cupcakes, Byron Hamburgers, with freshly made burgers, and the King's Road Steakhouse and Grill, where you can sit down to a full meal.
The Stamford Bridge section of London is also home to one of the best shops in the country for photography needs, called the Pro Centre. If you are a photographer or have any interest in photography, you may want to come here and see what they have to offer. You'll find high quality equipment, as well as a rental service if you want to experiment with any of the items that they have.
